What is the verification user identity service used for online purchases (Verified by Visa)?
the Verified by Visa (VBV) is a service that enables Bank Albilad Credit, (Mada) Debit and Medad cards holders to make online purchases safely on all website enrolled in this service.

How does the service work and how can I register in it?
Once you make an online purchase and finish entering your card details, you will be redirected to VBV page to enter the verification code that will be sent via SMS to your registered mobile number. Once you fill in the code you will be asked to create a password to be used in the future when doing online purchases for all websites that supports Verified by Visa feature.

Is there any fees to use Verified by Visa service?
No, the bank covers it all. Bank Albilad always assure to provide the best experience to its customers.

Where can I use my VBV PIN?
The VBV PIN is only used for Internet purchases. For Point of Sales and ATMs, you can use the previously assigned PIN you set when issuing the card.

Is it possible to shop online at sites that do not support VBV authentication?
Yes, you can, but the VBV PIN will not be requested, as the site does not support user authentication

Is it required to register for the VBV service at every time I do a purchase online?
No, it is not required. The customer will only register the first time, after which he will be asked to assign a PIN and will later use that PIN for online shopping at all websites that support Verified By Visa for the entire duration of the card.

Is there a validity period for the VBV service and the PIN?
No, There is no validity period for the PIN.

Can I register more than one card?
Yes, you need to register all of your Bank Albilad cards, either Debit, Credit or Prepaid cards.

Yes you can.

Can I activate my PIN instantly upon registration?
Yes, PIN gets activated and can be used once you’re done with the registration process using Verified by Visa
